Dizziness, Shakiness, Trembling - Panic Attack Symptoms
Panic Attack Symptoms / Dizziness, Shakiness, Trembling
One of the most notable symptoms of a panic attack are dizziness, shakiness and trembling. You may feel as though the floor is moving beneath you, or you have trouble walking. You may also feel the loss of feeling in your legs or you shake uncontrollably. These sensations can be very scary and can greatly increase your anxiety. Rest assured they are harmless and pose little or no threat to you, as long as you have something to keep you balanced while experiencing dizziness.
Hyperventilation ( rapid deeper breathing) can cause dizziness or vertigo. Taking slower deeper breaths can restore your body back to its natural state and thus alleviate your dizziness.
Shakiness or trembling is the bodies normal response to fear. It can also indicate a rapid drop in body temperature. Both can occur during a panic attack. Shaking occurs when the muscle groups contract spasmodically and cause friction between them and body tissue. This friction causes heat, in order to raise your body temperature.
As always I recommend that all new symptoms be discussed with your physician.
