Many people report nausea and vomiting as one of their main symptoms of panic attacks. Although these symptoms can be distressing, they are totally harmless. Anxiety directly impacts your abdominal region and can leave you feeling like you have butterflies in your tummy or a turning stomach. Occasionally the nausea can be so overwhelming it leads you to vomit. For many, the fear of vomiting in public leads to panic attacks. If this is one of your main symptoms, try to remember to carry a small paper bag with you to alleviate some of the fear. Also distraction is key to turn your focus onto something else while feeling nauseated, such as playing music and singing along, or speaking to someone close by.
